Simple Living School

We've done alot of classes here at the store over the years, but we feel like we want to give it a little extra focus.  Times are getting harder and several folks mentioned to us that they want to learn how to some of the basic things it takes to survive.

Our Simple Living School is aimed at helping individuals and families re-discover the practical insights and pleasures of simple living - including organic gardening, artisan baking and home cooking, safely preserving our harvests, wildcrafting native herbs, folk arts, animal husbandry, and other hand crafts.

We're looking forward to having lots of fun!

We wanted to provide a place where you can see "behind the scenes" of the stuff we're working on in our everyday lives, and get the collective wisdom from others in the area --- the school allows an opportunity for everybody to learn together.

So, here's our humble disclaimer - "we've got a long way to go, we're not the world's foremost authorities on simple living, we're just regular people like you."  We haven't earned our PhD in Simplicity or Self-Sufficiency yet, so I guess we'll have to walk this adventurous journey together.  Sound fun?

We've found ourselves to be quite the dabblers, so we're always trying something new, something improved, looking for a better way.  Ever been in an inventor's basement?  It's usually very messy with hundreds of unfinished projects in different stages of progress.  BINGO!  That's us. One difference, all our projects are attached to each other.  Sound crazy?  Yep, it is.

So, if you can look past our messiness and our imperfections there might be something we're working on that you can take as a diamond in the rough, and after you polish it for a while in your own setting, can become very valuable to you and/or others.

We've got several challenging sub-projects that we're working on that can become the basis for our classes:
